There’s still piles of snow and slush and ice on the ground… but I saw a few bare ankles this week in a meteorological about-face that I think had everyone feeling 100%… completely… utterly… hopelessly over winter.
And I know, I know. We’ve been back at cooler temps this week after the warm weather, but everyone I talked to— friends, family, the cashiers at Trader Joe’s— everyone was feeling the subtle joy of knowing warmer weather is right around the corner!
Next week is calling for low-60s here in Virginia, which screams SPRING!!!! to me now that we’ve handled our fair share of sub-20s days, and I’m yearning for more colors (always subtle… y’all know me better than that…!), more texture, and more pattern. With spring on the horizon, it makes me feel like a flower a little bit— like color can bloom in one’s wardrobe. That you can model the colors and shades of budding plants throughout your garden. There’s something very whimsical and romantic about the whole thing that I love!
You’re probably off with your girlfriends for Galentine’s tonight, or having a romantic Valentine’s weekend— so I’ll keep this one short!
Below you’ll find a collection of nudges into spring— little pieces to keep the hope alive through the last footholds of winter and into brighter days ahead. I hope you love it as much as I do!

I recently saw a creator post an outfit with a jacket just like this, and it felt quintessentially “spring” to me! Light wash denim + a cream jacket + a burgundy cashmere bandana scarf + velvet flats. This easily could be re-worn in the fall, or even brightened up more for spring with a lighter colored scarf— try something in seafoam green, rosewood, or baby blue!
2. Floral Patterned Raffia Bag
If you love flowers as much as I do, why not carry them with you on your bag?! This would be a great option to carry through spring and summer with the raffia, and you can tuck the chain to make it more of a clutch! Dress it down with jeans and a button down, or dress it up with an a-line dress and heels for Easter!
You’ve probably seen this cardigan all over the internet for… hm, I don’t know, 6 years at this point? But they’re still around for a reason! I have one on my to-buy list for the spring, and if their ever-lasting popularity says anything about these cardigans from Sézane, it’s that you will want them in every. single. color they make!!!
I love this softened teal for spring— with a dark wash denim, a cream skirt, cropped white pants, you name it!
As the sun comes out, don’t forget your sun protection— and what better way to get sun protection than a super chic hat?
I haven’t always been the best about wearing hats, even if I wanted to, but this style by Janessa Leone looks like the perfect cross between a wide-brim sun hat and a bucket hat!
5. Leopard-Print Slingback Flats
There’s nothing more to say about a classic slingback flat in leopard other than leopard is a neutral!
These pants scream warm weather to me, and I think they’d be paired so perfectly with a strapless top, ultra cropped jacket (because you really want to show off the waist!), a little plissé scarf, and flats! It feels very Emily in Paris…!
A few months ago I saw a similar skirt to this on Sézane’s website and loved how simple it was, yet how the details kept your eyes returning over and over back to the skirt. Sometimes simple things have that pull— often in the little details!
This is definitely best worn as the temps rise, but with a bateau blouse and flats? Chef’s kiss!
Some people might think this bag is dated, but I think it’s still fabulous! Textural, laid back, a little whimsical… all the things we want and need after a long winter with knits and socks and roaring fires.
Pair it with cropped jeans, a white button-down (tucked, with a slim belt), and flats; or with a patterned sundress, cropped jacket, and boots while it’s still chilly!
If you want a versatile piece, here’s a great one! Cream is one of my favorite “colors” because there’s so many ways to use it! Layer on a striped cardigan and pair with Hermès inspired flat sandals as the temperatures rise. Throw a chunky knit over your shoulders with a pair of tall, heeled riding boots if it’s still a little brisk. Or, if you’re a 2026 bride, wear as is with a pair of nude sandals for a laid-back yet refined bridal look.
10. 14K Gold Drop-Pearl Earrings
One of my girlfriends recently asked our group-chat, “If you had to define yourself by an article of clothing, what would it be?” I would, hands-down, pick a pair of drop-pearl earrings that Mitch bought for me— very sneakily, I might add, while we were together at an antique store!— when we were dating. I later wore them on our wedding day.
These earrings are a classic, staple piece in my closet year round; however, I think pearls are extra special in the spring months when they can shine against layers of fabric in the colder temps!
I hope you found something fun that helps you hold onto hope that soon we’ll get warmer weather! If you’re particularly interested in any of these items, I’d love to know how you’d style it in the comments below!
xx happy hunting!
