I was talking to a friend on Sunday morning about this post, and how sometimes I don’t have a major story to tell or reason why I put a post together. Sometimes I just want to “do it for the theme” and share things that are beautiful, fun, and girlie just because. It’s important to do that, right? To share things that inspire us, make us want to create, drive us to experience the joys of life around us… and that’s what I wanted to do with today’s post— I wanted to share some things that I believe will get you in the Valentine’s mood, be a fun gift to self or to your partner, and are just plain fun!
H&M is the definition of “hit-or-miss” quality, but I love how this shirt looks! If it’s anything like the pair of 100% cotton poplin pyjamas I bought from them recently… pass immediately! But if this isn’t see-through, it could be the perfect slouchy button down! If you’re looking for something in pink, try this option from Alex Mill. I’ve only ever heard amazing things about this brand! This one from GAP is also nice looking (and comes in tall, regular, or petite)!
2. The Ultimate Overnight Mask
My sister sent me this mask for Christmas, and I’ve used it every. single. night for the last week or so… that’s probably excessive, but I’m obsessed with it!!! I can’t wait to use it every night. Normally, I’m very skeptical of overnight masks because I’m a side-sleeper and I don’t want to get mask goo all over my pillows. That won’t happen with this one! It dries in 15 minutes and you can touch it, sleep on it, whatever! And in the morning, you get the ultimate satisfaction of pulling it off like lizard skin to reveal glowing skin underneath!
3. Heart-Shaped Statement Earrings
I’ll always be a statement earring girl. I never really jumped on the necklace or bracelet train— always opting to tie my hair up and add a big, bold earring to the mix. I find this works best for me in a dressy situation, but I think you could easily dress up a pair of jeans with these as well. These are affordable, and don’t look overly costumey!
4. Cozy Pajamas
One of my 2025 goals is to start investing (and wearing) nicer pyjamas and lounge clothing. I’ve mostly stayed in old tee-shirts to sleep, bland or frumpy sweats for lounging… things well-worn that have long needed to retire. This set from Eberjey has landed on my wish list because of its classic shape and wide range of colors! I’ve heard they’re insanely soft, and if they can hold even a candle to my LAKE modal sets, I’ll be head over heels!
Breakfast in bed? If it’s pared with a yummy coffee in the cutest mug! I have a strict “no more mugs” policy after I went through a period in my early 20s of buying far too many (more than I could store sometimes), so mostly I just look at pretty ones now… so let me live vicariously through you if you grab a pair of these!
6. A Perfect Pouty Pink Lipstick
While the “Love Is Better” color is currently sold out, all of the swatches of this sheer lipstick are beautiful! I’m not normally one for a high-shine lipstick and tend to stick to my favorite brand (Merit’s “Ginger” is my go-to color and the one I wore on my wedding day), this collection is definitely catching my attention! I might hold out for Love is Better, but Mildred Rosewood also looks beautiful!
7. A Vintage Heart-Shaped Leather Pouch
Someone snatch this up right now!!!!!!! How cute is this coin pouch!? For no other reason to need it other than it’s beautiful, this should be added to someone’s collection. I currently have a soft pink wallet, and there’s something so perfectly feminine about it without being garish. This reminds me of that: romantic and sweet without being cloying.
I didn’t think this vest was as flared as it turned out to be— I honestly thought someone on Poshmark just had a really great waistline. However, it does appear this vest flares a little, and I think that’s so chic! Given that it doesn’t look like this vest is as long-line as others Reformation has come out with (or like the ones from Aligne), this might be a good option for petites too! While it’s styled on the model with pants, I think pairing it with a chambray midi skirt, some Ulla Johnson-esque prints, and stripes would be perfect as we move into spring! Wear it with a red poplin midi skirt and black or leopard Mary Janes for a semi-casual Valentine’s date night!
9. Bubble Bath for the End of the Day
Weirdly, I have noticed that I often crave a bath when staying at a hotel, but never take one when I’m at home. Why? couldn’t tell you… maybe it’s just a weird quirk, but I’d love to change that and start making those little moments at home more luxurious. I can’t get on board with the L’Occitaine bath oil after it leaked in its packaging when I ordered it over the summer, so maybe something a little more subtle would be ideal, like this red roses scent from Jo Malone. They make my favorite perfume of all time, so why not try this on for size?
I think this blouse got cheaper between when I made the original graphic and publication… great! It’s a great going out top, but you could layer this with a white button down for some interesting contrast, or a black turtleneck to add some modesty.
11. Leopard Flats
Nothing anyone says will ever change how I feel about leopard: it is a neutral! This pair from Sézane are reminiscent of their ultra-famous Paula Babies without the slingback (and with a slightly lower heel). I love how the model wears them with a chartreuse dress and sheer tights! I waffle on whether I want to add a lot of color to my wardrobe, but that combination feels so chic it’s hard to resist! Try it with a red dress instead for Valentine’s!
xx happy hunting!
