One of the things I tell friends all the time is, “Oh my goodness, why don’t you share this on Instagram!? People would love it!” whenever they share great finds with me. I’m trying to take my own advice and be a little more regular in sharing things that I’m finding, loving, buying, using, etc.!
When I showed Mitch this collection, he said it feels “very London” which I’m taking as a compliment! So if you’re looking for some London-esque style, here are some great finds I’ve been eyeing recently— better known as your Monday Must Haves!
I own a very similar coat that I bought a couple of years ago on Poshmark. The structure feels incredibly refined and I feel super powerful when I wear it— like the ultimate CEO boss lady! I like this option from Aritzia, as I have generally found their coats to be very well made, stylish, and good quality. This one is 100% wool, which will keep you nice and warm (and you could layer with a thin puffer vest, like this one, for extra warmth when needed).
2. Vintage Gucci Crossbody Bag
2025 is the year I have vowed to use more than just my Longchamp, which has become a total default bag less than an active choice. Trying to be more mindful of using different bags to elevate my outfits of course means that I’m eyeing bags that I think I will use log term— including this gorgeous vintage Gucci! I love the classic shape and how it’s still on-trend; it looks like something you’d see coming from Soeur or DeMillier, but retains it own special elegance. While this would be an expensive secondhand item, a classic bag will last and last!
I’m really particular about the shape of my minimalist jewelry, and so far this is the only pair of huggies in this style that I’ve liked! I don’t believe I’ve ever purchased from this brand, have any of you!? They’ve popped up often while I’m browsing, so I’m curious to give them a shot!
Does anyone else get a cringe feeling in the bottom of their stomach when they hear the word culottes? Just me? All the same, I saw a video on TikTok of a woman wearing culottes with a pair of block heeled pumps and it looked so. dang. chic!!!! They instantly went on my wishlist! As a petite woman, cropped pants are good and bad— they can definitely make you look a little shorter because they’re wide + short; however, I think there’s something so elegant and demure about showing a little ankle, and I think it’s really flattering!
If you’re looking for a longer pair of pants, these look like a great option! I’d prefer they had a little bit of stretch (I like all of my denim to have a little bit of stretch if I can choose), but I like the drape on these. One of my favorite things that ShopBop has been doing is including pictures of models in multiple sizes of items so you can see how that supposed fit will look on multiple bodies! I’d be somewhere in between the two models, so I’m more confident trying these in my size with an idea of how they’ll look.
While I love my long trench coat in 99% of situations, sometimes I just don’t want to deal with all the fabric or just need something I can wear out to a quick coffee, errand, or otherwise. This one from Mango is a great affordable option, but there’s also a chic option from Modern Citizen that I like. This would be a great transitional item into the spring, especially here in Virginia where we can get much warmer days than sometimes anticipated!
Have you jumped on the Adidas Sambas train yet? I haven’t, and I’m starting to feel a dearth of chic sneakers in my wardrobe! I have a pair of Keds that are fine (and I trekked all over South Korea in them when I went to see Mitch a few years ago!), but I’m looking for something that’s a little lower profile, and I’ve had great experience with Cole Haan products in the past in terms of comfort and durability, so these are going in my cart!
Sézane coats have long been on my wishlist, but I’ve found myself waffling because they’re pricey and I was never sure what option I wanted to go with! The James coat seems to be a great introduction to their coats— a shorter blazer-like style, which is great for anyone who works from home and likes the look of a blazer but doesn’t wear them at home (definitely me!). This one is 75% wool, so while not as warm as the Aritzia option above, it’s a great option for warmer winter days or if you’re meeting a friend for coffee/running errands and don’t want to constantly take your coat off.
9. Quick-Dry Neutral Nail Polish
At the end of 2024, I became totally enamored with the Essie Expressie line, and I’m trying to replace all of my traditional nail polishes with these! If you’re like me and gave up on the time commitment of gel manicures, but don’t want to deal with the hassle of waiting for my nails to dry with traditional polish this line is for you!!
I wish the brand would release Ballet Slippers, Marshmallow, or Limo Scene (all worn by royals, so you know they’re beautiful colors) but for now this pinky-peach beige will work! This is my favorite winter color!!
Okay, we’ve talked a couple of times about things I’m trying to get better about, including using more bags than just my Longchamp… well, part of being able to do that is to be more organized, and I love the idea of a little pouch like this to keep things like car keys, a wallet, chapstick, etc. all in one place so that you can swap-and-drop more efficiently and get out the door!
xx happy hunting!
